I’m a bit late on this one but have to give props to black folk taking care of their own.
Okayplayer, Taste Crew, URB , Sutra Lounge , and ?uestlove connected for a fundraiser for Democractic Presidential Nominee Barack Obama raising $5,600.00 for his campaign!
There is another kind of black apart from the welfare-dependant or Cristal-swigging stereotypes African Americans seem to be pidgeonholed in to.
Here’s hoping that some of that self-starting community-minded spirit can rub off on the black people in the UK.
