China’s rich kids

Posted on April 14, 2009

Working on a feature delving into the top ten destinations for young people who don’t yet have the burden of kids, pensions or morthages who are looking to escape the economic doom that’s been forecast for the UK.

The list is still in its embryonic stages – it combines not only great places to live that offer an alternative to the daily grind but also credit-crisis-proof trades and professions (farming, teaching etc).

Stumbled across this piece in Forbes magazine which may just have given me another point to plot on the map:

“People under age 32 are driving sales. It’s shocking to me how few companies actually understand that,” said Shaun Rein, head of China Market Research Group.

Any suggestions jobs in China with long-term prospects?
